Kumbucha n' Whiskey
The taste of whiskey reminds me of sitting in front of a fire apres ski, thawing out my frozen feet. I usually don't drink whiskey unless it's out of a flask on a chair lift, but CJ loves it so we usually have some in the house. Necessity is the mother of invention because tonight I was craving a glass of something delicious to go with our pizza and we were fresh out of wine. The tang of the grapefruit kumbucha was a perfect compliment to warmth of the whiskey. Lately, I've been skipping wine with dinner in favor of kumbucha, it has less sugar and a tangy flavor. Usually, simple drinks are the best and this one only has three ingredients.
- one part whiskey
- two parts kumbucha
- squeeze of lemon
Best part was not having to get out of my sweats and go to the bar to get a fancy drink. I was able to drink it and wear my self tanner at the same time ;)
